Here's a great song by the Fugs from "The First Album", also done by Richie Havens on his "Mixed Bag" album. The arrangement is based more on the Havens version. My good friends Amy Gray and Heidi Longauer provided the other vocal parts. The three voices are meant to retain a sense of solitude from the others as if each is singing the same song in different rooms while providing rich harmony. One of the most gorgeous songs I've ever come across.
Yet again, this is a song by The Fugs, and I take no credit other than the arrangement of this track.
Feel so lonesome in the morning
Morning brings me grief
Sunshine laughs upon my face
And the secret of the shining
Puts me in my running place
Feel so lonesome in the evening
Evening brings me grief
Moonshine dots the hills with grace
And the glory of the shining
Seems to break my simple faith
Feel so lonesome in the nighttime
Does not bring me to relief
Chills the moon upon my cheek
Darling kiss me as I weep
